short on funding, material, and intel, the department found itself unable to produce its expected output in the past year. to compensate, the D.E.D. has had to rethink its method - leaner, meaner, not much cleaner is this latest release. boundaries have been crossed, lines blurred. to ensure a steady, if initially modest, pace of delivery, new deals have been struck between the department and yet seedier suppliers. duct tape, elbow grease, and concentrated psychick energy hold together The Apprentice - but we believe these promising prototypes will pave the way to sunnier horizons still.
