Thermidor is a vision of rock music taken to its logical extreme - misanthropic, satanic, as fast, heavy, dark, and raw as possible. In contrast to prior black metal, Thermidor's misanthropy is towards antihumanism, their satanism towards irreligion, and their push to the extreme to the effect of laying out the most visceral subjects in the plainest terms possible. There is no mistaking the direness intended in the project. Ego Invictus is produced as their thematic introduction.
